Skin needling uses a medical device with very fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin. This breaks down old scar tissue and stimulates the skin to renew itself, forming new collagen and elastin and improving blood supply.
The procedures are known as Collagen Induction Therapy and Scar Reduction Therapy. Because no heat is involved, side effects are typically mild and short-lived.
How does it work?
Very fine needles stimulate the tissue. As old scar tissue breaks down, new collagen forms to soften visible scars and refine texture.
What will I feel during treatment?
The skin is cleansed and usually numbed for comfort, so most people find it very tolerable. Treatment takes around half an hour.
What can I expect afterwards?
Redness fades to pink within hours and may last 12–48 hours. We recommend soothing, hydrating care and zinc sun protection. New collagen forms from around six weeks, and the skin continues to improve for 6–12 months.
