M22 IPL Photorejuvenation

Intense pulsed light to even out pigmentation, redness and sun damage.

Downtime
Mild redness, usually a day

Intense pulsed light (IPL) uses broad-spectrum light, filtered for your skin type and concern, to target pigment and small blood vessels in the skin. The body then naturally clears the treated pigment or vessels, leaving a clearer and more even complexion.

IPL is used for photorejuvenation, pigmentation and sun damage, redness and rosacea, and active acne.

Questions

Frequently asked

Have a question that isn’t answered here? Call us on 03 9807 0022.

How does it work?

Pulsed light passes through a cooled applicator placed on the skin. Filters tailor the wavelengths to your skin type and concern, so the light is absorbed by pigment or blood vessels, which the body then clears naturally.

Does it hurt?

No anaesthetic is needed. A cool gel is applied and you may feel mild discomfort, often described as a light flick. IPL is generally more comfortable than many other rejuvenation treatments.

What can I expect afterwards?

A feeling similar to mild sunburn for the rest of the day, with minimal redness that usually lasts up to a day. Pigment may darken briefly before it fades.
